UTAH VALLEY WOMEN’S EXPO TO BE HELD IN OREM SEPT. 7 AND 8
Orem, Utah—Art and pottery classes, skin cancer screenings, do-it-yourself projects, fashion and hair shows will be among the activities offered at The Utah Valley Women’s Expo to be held Sept. 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Orem’s UCCU Center at Utah Valley University, 800 West University Parkway.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for children under the age of 12 at the door.
“Women who attend The Utah Valley Women’s Expo can shop for the latest fashions and accessories, learn new skills and even be tested for skin cancer,” says Roxanne Bennett, Utah Valley Women’s Expo coordinator.
Mountain Star Health Care will bring a Divinci robotic operating system to the expo. This operating system is used by surgeons to perform complex surgeries. When used in surgeries, robotic operating systems have typically resulted in reduced blood loss, decreased pain and minimal scarring.
Doug Bourdreaux, marketing director of Mountain Star Health Care said, “We want to show women that there are other options to surgery by using robotics and finger movements with the DiVinci instrument.”
Brick Canvas, a spa based at Thanksgiving Point, will present hair fashion shows with the latest styles and tips on how women can create these styles. Brick Canvas will also be offering free services and discounted gift cards at its booth.
Fashion shows will be held both days of the expo with clothes and accessories provided by such companies as Dillard’s, Walmart, Diva Fashions, House of Denim, Lilac Clothing, The Posh Peddler and Bags that Fit.
Sponsors of The Utah Valley Women’s Expo include NuSkin, Mountain Star Health Care, Brick Canvas, McNeil Printing and City Deals.
