WORLD ASSOCIATION WITH CHILDREN AND PARENTS
We are the leading adoption and humanitarian aid agency
TYPES OF ADOPTION
WACAP Supports adoption within the United States supporting any child who is currently living with foster parents or parents who are willing to give up their child at birth. Our organization works with agencies throughout the country to find parents who want to adopt an 8-years-old child.
WACAP is proud to be one of the largest international adoption agencies in the United States. In 1976, WACAP started international adoption in Korea and added Thailand, India, Russia and China. In these past few years, WACAP has joined partnership with Vietnam, Bulgaria, Ethiopia and Taiwan.
TYPES OF CHILDREN
Many of these children range in various ages. Domestic adoptions allow parents to adopt a child from elementary school age. If you currently live in Oregon or Washington, you can adopt a child at the age of 3.
International adopts are more versatile because you can adopt from various countries, ages and can adopt a child who have moderate to severe medical or developmental conditions. Many of these children need loving parents to give them the proper nutrition that they need.
WAYS TO GIVE
Donate to the WACAP Promise Fund- Children waiting for adoptions are either older, have medical conditions or are siblings. WACAP has made a promise to these children to find them homes. WACAP creates materials give grants to families and help families who are struggling to adopt. With your donation, you can help a loving family receive a waiting child.
Sponsor a child in Ethiopia to help them get through school and provide them with home care.
Volunteer at WACAP to help with special events, family support groups or with outreach and advocacy.
